Privacy policy

This policy explains what information AutoSight Technologies ("AutoSight," "we," "us") collects through driveautosight.com and our pilot program sign-up, how we use it, and the choices you have. AutoSight is an early-stage venture founded by Torben Heinbockel and based in North Carolina, United States. If you have a question, email [email protected].

Information you give us

When you join the pilot list or send us a message, we collect what you type into the form:

• Pilot sign-up: name, email address, role, and, if you choose to share them, your phone platform, state, the driving app you use today, and whether you're open to testing.
• Contact form: name, email address, organization (optional), topic, and your message.
• Email: anything you choose to include when you write to us.

Information collected automatically

We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies, and the site doesn't set cookies of its own. Like any website, the services that deliver it process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested:

• Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs to deliver and secure the site.
• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when the page loads.
• Our form provider, Formspree, receives form submissions along with technical data used for spam prevention.

How we use information

• To contact you about the AutoSight pilot, the beta, and product updates you signed up for.
• To reply to your messages.
• To understand who is interested in AutoSight, such as how many parents, drivers, and instructors have signed up, so we can plan the pilot.
• To keep the site and forms secure and free of spam.

We don't sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site and forms (our hosting provider, Formspree, and our email provider), only as needed for those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of any person. If AutoSight is ever reorganized, incorporated, or acquired, information may move with the business, and this policy will continue to apply to it.

How long we keep it

We keep pilot sign-ups and messages for as long as they're useful for the pilot and for staying in touch, or until you ask us to delete them. Every email we send about AutoSight includes a way to unsubscribe.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you. Email [email protected] or use the contact form and choose "Privacy request." We'll respond within 30 days. Some states give residents specific privacy rights, and we'll honor them.

Children and teen drivers

This website is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it. Drivers under 18 can take part in the pilot only with a parent or guardian, who signs up on their behalf.

The AutoSight app

The AutoSight app is built so that camera frames are analyzed on the phone in real time and then discarded. The app does not record, store, or upload video or photos. Only trip data, such as Focus Scores, the time and length of drift moments, and drive times, syncs to make features like the family view work. Pilot participants will receive an app-specific privacy notice before they start, covering exactly what the app collects and how consent works for drivers under 18.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and we limit access to submitted information to the people who need it to run AutoSight. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect what you share with us.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect.
