About

Measuring gaze is easy. Understanding attention isn't.

AutoSight exists because of that gap. It started with a simple question: could the phone already sitting in nearly every car help a driver notice when their attention has left the road, without new hardware and without recording anyone?

Founder, AutoSight Technologies

Torben is a first-year student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, interested in engineering, computer vision, and turning research into products. He started building AutoSight in August 2026.

AutoSight was designed around the cases that defeat simpler systems: sunglasses, a shifted mount, harsh sunlight, a phone below the camera's view. Each one shaped the architecture, from multi-signal fusion to on-device processing.

Every claim AutoSight makes will be backed by what it measures. That standard applies to the technology and to this website.
